Ana Robertson


The right side of the brain is responsible for creativity and intuitiveness. It takes a lot of both to be agile and drive change. In business, leaders with these characteristics are necessary to building, maintaining and growing a strong organisation. That’s why Ana Robertson’s ability to embrace opportunity and challenges has allowed her to make her mark on many different companies over the years.

Ana has used her versatility to set up and lead global functions, not just within her current sectors, but among HR, Business Development, Sales Support and IT. She was previously part of McKinsey & Company for eight years. At Partners in Performance, she serves as Global Leader of Capability Management and Marketing, finding ways to expand her impact throughout the entire company, rather than allowing her lens to be too focused in one area.

Speaking of lenses, Ana has a passion for photography and can be found photographing the stunning New Zealand countryside or creating beautiful ceramics pieces at the weekend. She is a seasoned sailor, and enjoys travelling and experiencing architectural history around the world.

  • Designed and developed a global capability programme to ensure sustainability and scalability during a continued period of extraordinary growth, while ensuring the firm was consistently viewed as being the best place to be trained and developed.
  • Designed and developed a robust Intellectual Property (IP) management programme, to support the firm’s growth from 70 to over 500 people in five years, put in place best practice collation, dissemination and management processes to ensure IP is accessible in six regions and four languages.
  • Significant experience in change management, that has included being part of a small team of three to lead an ambitious and highly visible HR change programme to merge seven regional councils into one.
  • Led an initiative to grow the country’s largest design practice throughout Australasia, that included development of a strategic assessment and implementation plan, culminating in opening new offices and instigating formal partnerships across the region .
  • Considerable experience in development of strategic growth plans, including development of a firm’s vision and capability programme, taking the Board from maintaining a position of ad-hoc growth, to fully supporting an ambitious five-year strategic growth plan.
  • One of four core leaders to set up, launch and manage a complex pan-European specialist practice at one of the world’s foremost management consulting firms. This included setting and meeting aspirational targets for client and people development, as well as singularly designing, implementing and continuously improving a diverse range of processes and systems to support sustained and significant growth.
  • Experience in leading brand design and development initiatives in a number of professional services companies, which has included a complete brand redesign and launch for one of Australasia’s largest architectural firms.
