Dawn is a Consulting Manager with Partners in Performance, focused on the operationalisation of cyberspace to achieve critical business objectives, and balancing cyber risks while optimising investments.
Prior to Partners in Performance, Dawn spent more than 10 years in the United States Department of Defence civilian sector, culminating as the Chief of Cyber, United States Army Materiel Command. She was responsible for AMC’s resiliency within cyberspace to achieve the AMC commander’s objectives, facilitate mission command, and maintain AMC’s ability to ‘develop, deliver and sustain’ in support of current and future Army and Joint missions. She was a nominee for the 2016 United States Department of the Army Civilian of the Year Award.
Dawn received a Ph.D. in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University in 2011 with a doctoral focus of information security success within organisations. Her research interests include cyberwarfare, cyber operations, cybersecurity, and the success and measurement of organisational cyber-focused initiatives. She holds a number of professional certifications including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP), Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP), Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), and the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC). She has published extensively in the field, both in academic and trade publications, and is a noted speaker on cyber topics. She serves as a Subject Matter Expert and Exam Developer for the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) for several industry-leading certification exams.
