Jonathon Cronin


Jonathon has 18 months' experience in operational improvement and PMO transformations, all at Partners in Performance. He has worked across many industries, including FMCG, Retail, Mining, Steel manufacturing, and Government. Prior to joining, Jonathon worked as an Economics Academic at University of Melbourne, as a Policy Analyst at the Department of Treasury and Finance, and as a consultant with QBE insurance. He has worked in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Singapore.

  • Meat processing facility diagnostic: Identified EBITDA improvement of >$20m through yield, cost and throughput opportunities
  • Public service department PMO: Hosted client training sessions, constructed PMO management tools, and conducted analysis into customer service data to prioritise ideas within workstreams
  • Gold mine cost diagnostic, PNG: Identified implementable cost reduction opportunities of US$60m, including US$20m in cost savings as lead of contractor management workstream
  • Gas pipeline maintenance diagnostic: Forecasted maintenance work on ~700km natural gas pipeline to establish required FTE in $10m contract negotiation with pipeline owner and ASX50 maintenance company
  • Steel mill business improvement: Constructed visual boards and coached clients in BI / PMO tools as part of $80m+ transformation program at a steel mill
  • Financial services firm: Identified $5m of cost reduction opportunity at a financial services firm prior to its IPO as part of a $100m cost transformation programme
  • Lead smelting facility safety diagnostic: Provided remote analytical support for a safety diagnostic at a lead smelting plant in Queensland, Australia
  • FMCG business improvement: Developed and implemented a site-wide Continuous Improvement programme at a ~$100m bakery ingredients facility, including rolling out and coaching agile tools, constructing a site-wide Value Driver Tree, and developing an improved maintenance operating model
  • Supermarket retailer 5-year strategy design: Designed a ~$500m 5-year commercial strategy for one of Australia's leading supermarkets across grocery and meat, deli and seafood



Jonathon undertook a Bachelor of Commerce and majored in economics and finance from 2014-2016, before becoming an academic tutor and travelling in 2017. He then completed his honours year in economics and graduated with 1st class honours.
