Kate Mein


Kate is a passionate Manager with more than 10 years' leadership experience across technical, operations and client teams. She has a demonstrated ability to engage teams and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in a variety of industries including aluminium, financial services, and food and beverage.

  • Business Improvement, Insurance: Led a team of Business Improvement consultants and Knowledge Management specialists to set up frameworks, platforms and service offerings for a new Life Assurance entity
  • Business Improvement, Australian Bank: Collaborated with wealth operations and asset management leadership teams to assess business maturity against the business excellence framework to develop and implement improvement plans
  • Technical Business Improvement, Smelter team lead: Managed cross-functional team of 50 to meet production, quality and cost targets across three departments, co-ordinating daily operations and external logistics with construction activities during $90m rebuild project
  • Continuous Improvement, Global Brewing Business: Facilitated training and cross-functional Kaizen workshops to embed lean principles and deliver efficiency savings
  • Project Management, FMCG: Implemented a Continuous Improvement programme which increased overall equipment effectiveness across all lines by an average of 13% in six months through cross-functional workshops and training


Kate's qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Chemical Engineering and Bachelor of Arts (Major in Japanese Language) from Monash University.
